I was born and raised in Mexico and I love to find places where the food tastes like home. I always sit at the bar, the bartenders are really nice and the atmosphere is great.
I highly recommend the shrimp or tuna tostadas.
This experience was amazing. From the drinks to the food and even the chips and guac. The bartender was funny, attentive, and accommodating. We will be returning here for happy hours or other dining plans in the future.
We went there late Saturday afternoon, the lull period before dinner. Seems like the staff were chilling and getting ready for the dinner rush. At first we were the only customers but then the place started filling up. We had cheese quesadilla, shrimp taco and fish taco. All were good, especially the shrimp taco which was absolutely scrumptious! I'll be back.
Hands down, the best tacos and elote in Alexandria. We always get the fish, potato and vegan chorizo, and cactus tacos when we dine in. Tacos for two is a great option for takeoutā¦ enough for dinner and leftovers. The guac is fresh and even the chips are house made! If you enjoy margaritas, try the mango marg. We would be here every week if we lived closer š
Went here for the first time and sat at the bar. The bar tender Johnny was very nice and patient. He explained to us how everything works as this was the first time we had visited this restaurant. He explained that everything was a la carte and that we would have to dress our tacos ourselves (i.e. onions, cilantro, salsa, etc.). I appreciated his thorough explanation as it gave us an idea of what to expect. We ordered the family style tacos for two as it was a much better deal and mexican rice and beans and the fish taco as it was featured in PBS. Let me start off by talking about the fish taco. It may have been their āfeatured tacoā but it was just okay in my books. It had too much kale and lacked flavor overall. Same feedback for rice and beans. They tried to over complicate rice and beans in my opinion. It did not have enough salt and was lackluster. We had to add salt and a bunch of their taqueria salsa to make it palatable. The family style tacos were alright too. Enough meat for 4 people to eat (so of course we took the rest home). Lastly their elotesā¦ Iāll say those were pretty good, but I have had better at taco bamba. Unfortunately it wasnt a great taco experience for usā¦ not coz of the atmosphere but more because the food lacked flavor.
so glad to have my favorite taco place - Taqueria Picoso added to my ālocal favoriteā gift card bouquet during our fundraising event!! Thank you again for your support to the community, Taqueria Piscoso!! You are always my #1 taco spot!!
We had such a good time! Staff were friendly, margarita was amazing and food was scrumptious. I especially enjoyed the shrimp taco. It was so flavorful with just the right amount of spiciness. They have a nice outdoor seating with plenty of heaters.
I really enjoyed the service, food and aesthetic. I appreciate the patience from the cashier and the service and chill vibes from Roger, the bartender. I had the shrimp, the polbano and the chorizo tacos. So tasty! We also had the wings with an interesting zing and perfect smokiness. We also had the tinga tacos and elote. 10/10 would highly recommend!
